This was a public art project that I applied to and won.  I wanted to create a mural that included some of my favorite floral and fauna of Florida.  This mural features, the Florida Sandhill Cranes, Spanish Needles (Bidens pilosa) and Beautyberry (Callicarpa americana). The background tiles also feature handmade tiles with leaf prints from various Native Florida plants. The mural was created with handmade tiles both painted with underglaze and high fire glazes and Daltile Natural Hues.
